⚡Quick verdict
Flawless was an unlicensed IPTV service sold across the UK until it was shut down. In 2023 five men behind it were jailed for a total of more than 30 years after a Premier League private prosecution; the organiser received 11 years. A 2025 confiscation order then required £3,750,000 to be paid back. Its customers lost their service overnight.
- It was a private prosecution brought by the Premier League.
- The service supplied resellers, so many other brands died with it.
- Customers lost what they had paid; there was nobody left to refund them.
The service
Flawless sold subscriptions directly and, more importantly, supplied streams to a network of resellers who sold them under their own names. When it was shut down, many apparently separate IPTV brands stopped working on the same day, which is how a lot of customers learned they had been buying the same thing.
The prosecution and sentences
The Premier League brought a private prosecution, working with investigators from FACT. In 2023, at Wolverhampton Crown Court, five men received sentences totalling more than 30 years for conspiracy to defraud and related offences. The organiser was given 11 years.
Taking the money back
Under the Proceeds of Crime Act, the court later assessed what the group had made. In 2025 it ordered repayments of £3,750,000, with longer prison terms for anyone who fails to pay.
What it means for viewers today
- Customers were not charged, but they lost every penny of the time they had paid for.
- Resellers are not separate. A service you buy from may run on someone else’s servers, and closes when they do.
- Long plans are a gamble for exactly this reason, and why we never sell more than a year at a time.
