⚡Quick verdict
Every major IPTV player lets you lock channel groups behind a PIN. Lock adult and late-night groups, hide anything you never watch, and on shared TVs also lock the device's app installs. For younger children, a second profile or favourites list with only children's channels is simpler than locking everything else.
- Set the PIN before children use the TV, not after.
- Lock the film and series library too; it has no watershed.
- Device-level controls on Fire TV and Google TV add another layer.
In the player
| Player | Where |
|---|---|
| TiviMate | Settings → Parental control → set PIN, then lock groups or channels |
| IPTV Smarters Pro | Settings → Parental control |
| IBO Player | Settings → Parental control, then choose categories |
| GSE Smart IPTV | Menu → Parental control |
On the device
- Fire TV: Settings → Preferences → Parental controls. Requires a PIN for purchases and app launches.
- Google TV: create a kids’ profile from the profile icon.
- Apple TV: Settings → General → Restrictions.
The simplest set-up for young children
Make a favourites list or group called “Kids” with CBeebies, CBBC and a few cartoons, and teach them to open only that. Combine it with a locked adult group and a device PIN for app installs.
Removing groups at source
If you never want adult channels on the account at all, tell us when you order. We leave them out of your playlist, so there is nothing to lock.
