⚡Quick verdict
IBO Player is a player app available in the Samsung and LG TV stores as well as on Android and Fire TV. On screen it lists the TV's MAC address plus a device key, which you type into IBO's website along with your log-in, and the playlist appears on the TV. It is free for a trial week, then the app maker charges an activation fee per device.
- Its activation fee goes to IBO, not to your IPTV provider.
- You manage playlists on the web, which saves typing on the TV.
- Several look-alike apps exist; check the developer name in the store.
How activation works
Unlike most players, IBO Player does not ask for your log-in on the TV. Instead:
- Install it from the Samsung Apps or LG Content Store.
- Launch it and note the two codes it displays: MAC address and device key.
- On your phone, visit IBO’s official website and open its playlist page.
- Enter the MAC and key, then add your Xtream Codes details or M3U link.
- Restart the app on the TV.
What you get
| Section | Notes |
|---|---|
| Live TV | Channel groups with a guide underneath |
| Movies | Library with posters and descriptions |
| Series | Seasons and episodes |
| Settings | Parental control, themes, playlist switching |
Tips
- Add more than one playlist on the website if you use two services, and switch in Settings.
- If the guide is blank, change the EPG time offset to zero.
- Keep a photo of the MAC and key; you need them again if you reinstall.
Common problems
“Device not activated” means the trial week has ended and the app maker’s fee is due. “Playlist error” usually means a typo in the server address on the website. Message us a screenshot and we will check it with you.
