⚡Quick verdict
On a Samsung smart TV, install a player such as IBO Player from the Samsung Apps store, photograph the two codes it displays, then enter your log-in on the player's website from your phone. Samsung's Tizen system cannot install apps from outside its store, so you pick from the players listed there.
- Samsung TVs from roughly 2018 onwards work best.
- Most Samsung-store players charge a small activation fee after a free week.
- No Downloader-style sideloading on Tizen.
Step 1: install the player
- Press Home on the Samsung remote and go to Apps.
- Select the magnifying glass and search for your player, for example IBO Player.
- Choose Install, then Open.
Step 2: photograph the codes
The player shows a MAC address (six pairs of letters and numbers separated by colons) and a device key. Take a photo of the screen with your phone; it saves copying mistakes.
Step 3: add your log-in from your phone
- On your phone, open the player’s website and find its playlist upload or manage device page.
- Enter the MAC address and device key.
- Choose Xtream Codes and type the server, username and password from our message. Or paste the M3U link if you prefer.
- Save, then restart the app on the TV.
Step 4: tidy up
Open the settings in the player and hide channel groups you will not use. The guide loads faster and the remote has less to scroll through.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| Player not in the store | Your TV model is too old or region-locked; use a stick |
| “No playlist” after adding it | Restart the app; check the MAC was typed exactly |
| Guide empty | Wait ten minutes, then see TV guide missing |
| App closes on big lists | Hide groups, or use an M3U link with fewer groups |
